Beginners Or just new to Summer Healing Yoga

You have taken the first step by showing interest and we know will you absolutely love the journey ahead.

Weather your new to yoga or just new to Summer Healing Yoga it can feel a little daunting entering into a new space but we aim at creating a community feel that will make you at home as soon as you walk through the doors.

Do I need to book?

Yes, purchase the month trial for $49 by downloading the Mind Body app and start booking your first class today!

What should I bring and wear?

We have lockers so you can bring your essentials and lock them up safely at the studio

Wear comfortable clothes that you can stretch in.

Do I need to bring water?

We are aiming to become plastic free this year so we conveniently have a water filter for you to bring your reusable water bottles from home.

Do I need a towel?

You won’t need a towel for the class we have towel hire or you can bring your own for a shower after class if needed.

Do I need to bring a mat?

We supply yoga mats or you may bring your own from home.

What class should I start with?

The best classes to start with are:

  • Beginners fundamentals
  • Seva- our teacher trainees class
  • Hatha
  • Yin
  • Restorative
  • Slow flow vinyasa

There will always be some regulars or advanced yogis in the room.

Everyone is coming for different reasons so don’t feel intimidated about where others are at no one is judging you and everyone is coming to have some time out and internal reflection more than competition or comparison.

Remember, Yoga is Life, it is not for just the flexible or just the spiritual or just vegans or vegetarians. It is for you and you and you from all walks of life. From the successful business men and women, to the university student, to the farmer, to the banker, to the nanny, to the chef, to the monk, to the mums, everyone can benefit from Yoga.

Yoga Room house keeping

  • Only bring yourself, your mat, your towel and your water into the room.
  • Bags and phones aren’t allowed, so please leave them in your locker for safety.
  • Please let the teacher know if you need to leave early
  • Position your mat at the back of the room if your new.
  • Grab 2 blocks and a strap in entry to the studio
  • Honour your body, rest whenever you need.
  • Remember to check in at the start of the class even if you have signed in
